RTU-Rj45x8-HUB
8port RJ45 cable landing board
The Rj45 landing board passively converts a star wired Cat cable infrastructure into an serial wired topology but using the multiple cores of the Cat cable to send a signal out and back. The 24v DV power is also distributed over the cat cable, but using the star topology to reduce volt drop
The RTU-Rj45x8-HUB is to be used centrally with RTU-Rj45-NODE’s at the remote end of the cable.
The HUB can be used for most RS485 communications, including ASCII, Modbus RTU & BACnet MSTP. Other protocols that are based of off RS485 may also be compatible. We recommend testing be carried out for all other products other than the Polar Bear Designs RTU product set using the pBUS.
The RTU-Rj45x8-HUB has a DIN rail mount on the enclosure and can be mounted in a DC01-CAB wall cabinet for clean installations.
