Lutron Electronics and Polar Bear Design Announce collaboration

Polar Bear Design is excited to announce a strategic alliance with Lutron Electronics to bring its luxury range of thermostats that are compatible with Lutron’s lighting control system.

Both Lutron and Polar Bear Design focus on elegance and craftmanship within their respective Lighting control and HVAC control sectors. This collaboration focuses on bringing these two solutions together to provide the customer with a harmonious design aesthetic.

The new range of Ursium Pro Thermostats from Polar Bear Design will take design cues from the Lutron Alisse keypad range to create a product that provides the client with synergistic styling. Polar Bear has collaborated with Lutron and will be using their authorised finishing partner in the UK to provide matching finishes to Alisse keypads. This collaboration will Result in a matching thermostat that compliments the offering for interior designers in the luxury sector.

In addition to this exciting product announcement, Polar Bear Design will be working on integrating its thermostats into the Lutron’s system via Lutron’s LEAP integration protocol. This new way to control the thermostats combined with the powerful eco system that Polar Bear Design offers, such as Edge BMS and full management of both heating and cooling, gives the user an incredibly clean and elegant engineered solution.

The Ursium Pro Thermostat boasts the ability to control two rooms from one device and automatic control of both underfloor heating and cooling without the need for any BMS controls. It includes built-in EdgeBMS and HeatBoost technology and packs seven programmable inputs directly on the back of the unit. This is all presented to the user with a clean timeless design offering a tactile Digital Crown and an IPS Colour Touch Screen for an unrivalled user experience. All this packed in a European styled frame that can be mounted in a standard single UK back box.

Polar Bear Design showed this for the first time at the ISE show in January 2023.
