Announced on October 8, our Zentium Thermostat was named as a winner in the Americas region CEDIA Awards in the ‘Best New Hardware’ category.
We are delighted that the effort in creating the product has been recognised by such a prestigious awards initiative set up by the industry’s own association.
The award is also an endorsement of the positive reception the product has had from the integrator community, not just in the Americas region, but also in the EMEA where the Zentium also reached the finals of the same category in the the CEDIA Awards.

About Made in Britain....

Made in Britain brings together the British manufacturing community, united with the use of the registered collective mark. The mark is protected and can only be used by members of Made in Britain that meet the criteria we set to guarantee the member is a British manufacturer. There are similar marks being used by organisations that wish to emulate the success of the Made in Britain mark. These copy-cat marks are not registered or protected and do not provide the guarantees given by the official Made in Britain organisation.

Just as lighting is a key aspect to enjoy any space, the client experience is also affected by the temperature of that space. The user experience of temperature control is often overlooked as it is seen as something difficult and out of many installers’ comfort zone.

In many luxury buildings, air conditioning is standard. However, these are typically commercial systems that require a significant amount of design and calculations. This industry is heavily commercial based and the idea of elegant, easy to use controls is often lost. With all the calculations, environmental impact and performance specifications, the consideration of the user is lost. The goal of the Zentium thermostat is to meet the concerns of installers and interior designers in a process that benefits everyone.

During October, Polar Bear Design set a competition among artistic designers to come up with a new and refreshed company logo.

With over 340 design submissions we had an unexpectedly huge range of choices. After narrowing it down to five designers we went through the final stages to complete the design.

We hope you like the results as we are really pleased with the outcome.
